“There’s no human being on the planet who would have said no to this.”

That’s how Thomas Juul-Hansen describes 550 West 21st Street, a rare ground-up opportunity on Manhattan’s far West Side, where only a handful of large-scale development sites remain in West Chelsea. The Copenhagen-born architect has been tapped by Legion Investment Group to design the 22-story condominium, positioned between Hudson River Park and the High Line. The project will bring 83 residences to a stretch of the neighborhood where new inventory has slowed significantly, even as demand remains strong.
